Inspire Inclusion on International Women's Day

International Women’s Day 2024

8th March is celebrated across the world as International Women’s Day. I’m always excited to see what local events are being held as well as finding ways I can take part to support and recognise the amazing women in my community.

2024’s theme was #InspireInclusion and gee whizz was I inspired!

Linkedin for Small Businesses with the Shire of Mundaring

The Shire of Mundaring hosted one of my workshops as part of their IWD events.

Being able to facilitate a start-up business event allows me to support, encourage & guide ‘Curious, New & Seasoned’ business owners to take action, upskill, learn and grow.

And I bloomin’ LOVED IT! 💚

Above all, I love being able to share motivational tips, alongside a good dollop of inspiration.

As part of a range of free and inclusive events across the City, I was able to bring my “She Means Business” workshop to the people of Bayswater.

Designed to help small business owners boost their success and help busy women manage the juggling act, we talked about lots of practical ideas to build a business and keep it on track.

International Women’s Day Lunch with Working Spirit

Alison Bannister as the MC for Working Spirit Ltd IWD Event
Always an honour to speak at these events.

I was so humbled to be MC at Working Spirit Ltd and RSLWA International Women’s Day special luncheon to honour the extraordinary women of the ADF.

Bronwyn Doak, and her son Eamon shared their story of resilience and hope following a personal tragedy.

It was enlightening, powerful, and a true honour to be there. Here’s to celebrating their spirit, today and every day!

Empowering Women in Business with the City of Cockburn

I was an attendee at the jam-packed IWD event held by the City of Cockburn.

It was all about empowering women in business and was filled with team building activities and World Cafe activities.

We covered a wide range of topics including the dynamics between self-doubt and self-belief, entrepreneurial mindset, envisioning personal goals, and the intricate balance between personal and professional life.

Chuffed to bits!

And to put the cherry on top of a wonderful day, I won a raffle prize!

2024 didn’t disappoint, and I’m already looking forward to hearing what 2025 has in store for International Women’s Day.
